another year around the sun
as I spin,spin and spiral in space
ever expanding into the universe
sometimes it all I can do to hold on
to keep from being flung out into the galaxy
into the deep and dark void
but gravity helps so very much
to try and keep me on earth
floating on the hours
walking in the air
staring at nothing
as if it was there
so I shuffle my feet
and sit in my chair
and insanity sweeps
me up and away

so shall it be in the end
once i was helpless and toothless
soon soon I will be again
so it seems that life’s a circle
like the spinning of the earth
we take and give what it brings us
but love is the only true worth
and i see myself as reflection
the universe mirrored in my eye
and spin around in unseen circles
till death sings my lullaby
